Summer feels like it's here and picnic island was hoppin last weekend, little windy for north cap/ new pass but it feels soooo good to be on and in the water. looking forward to seeing some of you out and about.

picnic island is located off the southern tip of pine island anlong the miserable mile. Popular stop to overnite for cruisers on the east side and deep enough for outboards to pull up to the beach.
Happens to be a short hop for me so I really love it. I think alot of capers like it as it's not the haul of north cap.

I've been hitting the inside of Cayo Costa lately. I love green water...I'll have to check out picnic Isl though.

The water is worth the trip definitly but a change of pace is nice, they had a dj generator and serious BBQ last weekend. Presently re-powering and sprucing up the strike so the flats boat is a bit of a run for the family with the endless wind we've been having. Let me know when you might be headed that way.
water from n cap to cayo costa is hard to beat. Just out of curiosity, where are coming from?

I'm in NW Cape and I trailer to Burnt Store Marina. I can put in at the yacht club and run from there.
