The annual Ocean Fest is being held this weekend at Fort Lauderdale beach across from Bahia Cabana. The Gully Roosters, one of the best reggae/calypso bands from the Bahamas, should be playing around 7:30 or 8 PM on Friday night. They come over once a year for this event and usually put on a good show. If you don't mind dancin' in the sand, come down and kick up your heels with us. We are meeting at the Cabana around 6 and heading over shortly thereafter.

There is no cost to see the band and you can usually bring a few beverages. Parking is available in the municipal lot right there or at the Bahia Cabana. Dockage for boaters is also available at the Bahia.

What time are you guys heading down? Im helping a friend move tonight but might be in the area for a couple hours around 5 or 6.

Around 6-ish at Bahia Cabana seems to be the magic hour and meeting place. The Gully Roosters are playing on the Ocean Fest stage from 8:30-10pm, so it sounds like there's plenty of time for us to knock back a few before the show.

I'm having dinner with friends at PF Changs Galleria 7pm...I'm getting picked up so, I hope they'll want to come to the concert. Sounds like a great time... reminds me of shaggin' on the sands of the Carolinas!!
