Pioneer Park ramp to Lake Boca?

Hopefully the link works:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...,0.053988&om=1

If the link works, you should see Deerfield Island Park right in the middle. I've taken the southern-most waterway that would get to The Cove, but can I take one of the more northern routes for a shortcut to the ICW? Specifically I'm wondering about the depth under "Date Palm Rd". I went that route once but turned around at the bridge because I didn't know the waters. There is a bridge clearance sign and I think I'm good to get under, just didn't know what was underneath.
Thanks,
Michael

Re: Pioneer Park ramp to Lake Boca?

what kind of boat are you in, i store at Pennells Marine, which is just inland of pioneer park so im very familiar with the route out from pioneer park.

if you are going to Lake Boca, head out of pioneer park and stay to your left as you pass Marina One, you will pass with some large yachts on your left and head straight under the small fixed bridge, just stay straight and you will hit the intracoastal in about 15-18mins. if you have any questions, fire away

I just rambled on for nothing really, haha. i looked at the map on your link, just take the northernmost waterway once u get east of federal. oh, and the depth is just fine for my 24' bowrider with an I/O and ive seen plenty of boats in that range pass though with no trouble, if u draw alot, u may want to trip up a bit i guess and keep an eye on the depth but ive been passing through there for years and never seen anyone with trouble down low (plenty of clearance problems though)

Re: Pioneer Park ramp to Lake Boca?

Cool, that's what I needed to hear. I probably draw a little less than 3 feet, so it'd be nice to have a little clearance there.
if I knew how to shrink pics into avatar size, I'd put this in my profile, but this is me:

Easiest way is to right click on the image, open in Paint, up in the top click on "Image" and then "Stretch/Skew" in the drop down. Use the same % for each of the top two (stretch) - ie 50% - and keep playing with it until you get the size you want. Save as a different name (or you change your original) and then use that for the avatar.

Water depth isn't the problem. Bridge clearance is. If you have a radar arch, t-top or hard-top, you will only clear it at low tide...

The canals through Royal Palm have some rather low bridges. I have to drop my Bimini to get thru at high tide. Some EXTREMELY nice houses and hardware in Royal Palm!
