I've got a fun crew coming down to visit, and I'm missing the crystal clear waters of the Haulover sandbar. We should be there between 12:30-1. Who's in?

We're planning on being out, and that generally means a stop at the sandbar. Haven't been in awhile, so we're really anxious to get out on the boat!

I'm gonna shoot to be there. Weather is looking crappy for a run down the outside so I'll have to figure out where to dunk the trailer (15th St or haulover).
It's been forever since I hung out at the sandbar. I usually hang out with my dad and his cronies on Beer Can.

If your choices are Haulover and 15th street and you want to go to Haulover then its a no brainer. Haulover is a nice place with plenty of parking. That 15th St ramp is a shytt hole if you ask me.

I just want to run the boat. launching at haulover just to hit the sandbar...heck I might as well just jump in at the fuel dock and swim over

But since there's still forecast for some wind, at least out of Haulover I can get on plane in the ICW.
The only thing 15th has going for it is that it's close to Port Everglades, New River, lake silvia, etc. I've launched there once and didn't have a problem because I did a visual inspection of the dropoff. Too bad this guy didn't:

I would love to go boating this weekend (heck, every weekend)! Is anyone in need of bikini babes/booze/burgers on their boat? I can supply all three. Let me know!

We are in for Haulover on Saturday. Looks like wind (15-20 knots) so we will take the long slow road down the ICW. Watch out for the radar in Hallandale.

Yeah, the wind is gonna make an outside run less than ideal, I may be doing the Boca thing this weekend, so anyone that can't do Haulover, look for us! We'll be there Sat and Sun, hopefully.
