Re: St Patty's Day plans?

There is no reason you should let a dead battery beach your boating plans. If you can't afford a good marine battery right now just run to Autozone and grab a $40 special, it won't last very long but it will get you out a few times. If thats a problem steal the battery out of your car/truck.

I had to do this yeas ago, launched the boat with a dead battery. I had a choice of loading the boat back and going home or searching for a battery or parking the truck and borrowing the battery out of the truck. I was on the water all day with no problems.

Re: St Patty's Day plans?

Too funny - we actually used the battery from my friends truck and another from my friends zodiac last weekend to get going. I just need to find the time get to my boat and hook the old batts upto see if the recharging worked. Then I'll grab batteries if one or both arent holding a charge.

Wow, looks like it's gonna be a party! I'll be there- with or without boat, not sure.

It doesn't happen too often, but I'm taking a weekend off. Winds are 15-20 out of the North tomorrow which makes for a very ugly ride from Lauderdale to Boca. If I do anything, it may involve Lake Sylvia.
