Well I changed a few things around so I'm free that Saturday. Tom and I will be running the Scarabs down to check it out.

I don't usually go out on Saturday (religious reasons), but I'll give this one some serious thought.

What time and from where will everyone be headed down? I trailer from Pompano Beach and conditions will probably determine where I launch from: 14st/Hillsboro Inlet, 15st/Port Everglades, or Haulover.
Weather looks like it should be pretty good.

Well in my case it would be heading up. I'm at Blackpoint Marina down south. I'll have a 20-min no-wake treck and about a 25-min cruise (about 24mph) to get there. It may not behoove you to launch anywhere north of Haulover, or you will have some serious no-wake time. From Haulover that should be about 45 to 50 minutes for you with a few no-wake zones. Unless of course you hit the Atlantic all the way.

Thanks BB. Agreed...I wouldn't launch up north unless I could run offshore.
It's just a pain since Haulover doesn't have fresh water to at least hose off the trailer. It's about a 45min ride on the highway and the salt is nice and baked in by the time I get back.
Maybe I can run a hose off my on-board fresh water...

Gotcha Handful. I've never trailered myself, so I don't really know what you guys face. There are a few more ramps that are closer, but I don't know if they have fresh water to hose off. There are ramps at 79th St, Coconut Grove and Mattheson Hammock; all closer than Haulover.

I can safely say that I won't be running from Fort Lauderdale down to Biscayne Bay after running 220 miles last weekend. Looks like a great time though- hope to see some great photos.
