Made a last minute run out to Stiltsville sandbar today. Was out on the water from 1300 till 1600. Put in at Key Biscayne. Did not recognize any of the other five boats nor see any raft-up burgees...
It was really a nice day and it was great being on the water after being in 20 degrees and snow all week!

So was the weatherman wrong again? I'm looking outside, and it looks really nice. Many of you have mentioned that Lake Sylvia works for you, so that's my destination. I was really looking forward to Haulover or Lake Boca, but it will have to wait. My friend Tommy will be there with his 54' Sea Ray, so we'll have a mothership. If the weather kicks in, we'll spill into Bahia Cabana and listen to some acoustic guitar. See you there by 1. I have the grill, so feel free to bring things to cook up if you like.

I give up! We made it out to Lake Sylvia and the skies started looking real threatening, so we left without throwing anchor. Once we arrived home, the sun came out for the rest of the day!

I got to Lake Sylvia with a full boat around 2 p.m. We dropped anchor, threw back a few cold ones and hung out for an hour or so, but saw no one. Thinking that there might be more action at Whiskey Creek we went there and found the place pretty much deserted except for a couple of boats. Beached the boat and spent the afternoon swimming in the ocean and whittling away on the Becks in the cooler. Missed you guys.

Don't remind me- I was so pissed. It stayed nice the rest of the day. Oh well- there's always next weekend.
