Hi Guys, Just wanted to know if there are any menbers with kids in the Peanut Island are? My wife and I have a 6 year old son that likes to go boating. Looking for other families to raft up with.

Last week would have been great, I just shipped off my step daugher on vacation to her aunts house..... she is 5.

Hi Whaler,
I have a 7-year-old son. I boat in the Ft Lauderdale area. We hang out often at John Loyd park.
We are planning to be at Peanut Island on the wekend of 2/18 (President's Day weekend). I could not find a camping site for Saturday but I have reservation for Sunday. So, I may beach the boat on Saturday, spend the night at the Harbour area and come back on Sunday early.
If you plan to be there that weekend, let me know.

You may want to tie off or use the docks. I wouldnt beach that boat the tide runs out pretty good. Watch the sandbar on the N-NW side over by the Blue Heron bridge the tide will leave you high & dry & there is a substantial current at times. Phil foster I think is an awsome boat launch at the bridge
