Wow, it amazes me that I posted about needing a crew for my boat to assist with control boat duties during the boat parade this Saturday, and I have yet to have any takers from this site E-mail me as I asked with contact info so I can pick you all up for the parade.

Here is a chance to be front row, ground zero for this thing, all it is going to take is some food and drink to the cause, many of our over 300 members are boatless and NOTHING.

I'm on the board of directors for the Winterfest boat parade, and I can tell you that we share your frustration. We try to come up with as many things we can (a ton of parties, outstanding goody bags,, etc) to entice people to get involved, and it's like pulling teeth each year.

As the VP of marketing for Star Brite, I made sure everyone got a butt-load of Star Brite product, and I will give them pretty much whatever they need.

Let me know what you want (send me a PM) and I'll get it out to you next week. We really appreciate all that you do for the parade. If these guys knew what they were missing by being on a control boat, they'd be begging you to take them along!

Thank you for your generous offer. I will send you a PM. Thankfully, I did find a couple of recruits and dutifully manned my station up in the north end. The view was spectacular, and despite some "iffy" weather, everyone on my control boat had a great time.

I will definitely do it again.
