I am lucky enough to have some relatives down in Tavernier that let me dock the boat there every once in a while, so I am down anytime to head South. Sandbar off of Holiday Isle is always a good time, as is the Tiki Bar. Lets just keep our fingers crossed that the whole going condo thing doesn't screw it up.
There is a hotel / apt with slip access just north of the park on the bay side... i have stayed there a few times like 2 years ago..... let me search for the name.... it was a reaaly large apt, two bedrooms and a soafa bed full kitche and trailer parking on premesis...pools and the whole package....it also has a gate with limited acces only if you own or rent a rool do you get in........
once on the water is was a few minutes from the tiki bar / sand bar.
It looks like i will be down in Duck key on March 16-18 for a Plantation Boat Mart - Hydra Sports Trip, i am sure everyone will head up to the sand bar, i know i will ...

Once a month, Morada Bay in Islamorada hosts a full moon party which consists of mostly locals on the beach, with live music, tiki torches and great food. I would love to try and plan a trip for a weekend in which that is taking place. If you've never been, I highly recommend it.
a full moon party at Morada Bay is alot of fun, id definitely recommend planning your trip around one of those parties. I have been to several and they are always fun. We start early and work our way there, gotta love the keys, so many great places to stop on the water and have a few
