While we have plenty of hotties coming down for "You Gotta Regatta in Islamorada 2008", we have a lack of boats due to the high fuel prices. If anyone has the ability to trailer down, come join us!
Do you really want to be that person saying “I’d really like to go, but there are no more rooms” a few days before the party??? We are less than a month away from the best party of the summer, and rooms are filling up fast. If you’re thinking of coming, the time to reserve a room is NOW- You can always cancel if things change.
You Gotta Regatta in Islamorada!!!
Come by land or sea- A weekend of partying at the world’s greatest sandbar!!!
Dates: July 17-20 (Thursday-Sunday)
Here’s the plan…
Thursday- Call in sick and start the weekend early! Some of us will hit the sandbar early on and enjoy a rare mellow day at the sandbar. Later, well meet poolside at the Hampton Inn at 5 for a welcome party. Later that evening, we’ll hit the town. If all else fails, you’ll probably find us at Hog Heaven after midnight.
Friday- Lounge poolside at the Hampton, lay out on the beach or head out to the sandbar- Your choice. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you prearrange a ride to the sandbar before the big weekend as those with boats will not be spending all day shuttling people back and forth. We usually party at the sandbar until around 4 and then head in to get ready for the full moon party at Morada Bay in Islamorada. There is a $15.00 cover charge for the full moon party. It is best to arrive no later than 7pm.
Saturday- Another beautiful day in paradise! Wake up, enjoy the sunrise and amazing breakfast restaurants nearby and head for the sandbar around noon for the 1st Annual Islamorada Sandbar Superbowl- kickoff is at 1. Bring your favorite homemade boat drinks to share- Wait until you try the Tequila Lemonade! After the tide carries us all in, we’ll meet for dinner at Hog Heaven @ 8. Afterwards, we’ll do the Islamorada Pub crawl (Tiki bar/ Hog Heaven).
Sunday- Rehab poolside @ The Big Chill in Key Largo from 10:30am-???. $25 includes full brunch @ Mimosas!!! This place over looks the bay and is absolutely amazing!
If you plan to drink, please be safe and leave your cars behind and call Islamorada Taxi at (305) 664-4100.

• Island Grill for dinner- (MM85 Oceanside) Get there early, or you’d better know the hostess personally.
• Largo Cargo- (MM103 Oceanside) This shop has everything you need to bring a bit of the tropics into your home, and it’s owned by a good friend of mine.
• Pennekamp Park- (MM102.5 Oceanside) Not quite ready to go home early on Sunday? Pennekamp has some great beaches and an amazing boardwalk through the mangroves.
