Miami to Islamorada

Hello everyone I am new to this site and i was wondering if anyone here run from Miami around Matheson hammock or dinner key area to Islamorada tiki bar area and know how much fuel they burned I have t/225 efi. I was thinking about going by water because I hate trailering.

well i couldnt tell you what teh fuel burn was like because it wasnt my boat and i didnt pay attention to the fuel gauge, but u can save some fuel by running through biscayne bay and taking jewfish creek into the florida bay. its a shorter distance and the waters are more sheltered so u'll do better that way. its not a bad run

Re: Miami to Islamorada

We ran the Tight Squeeze down past there and took the Miami / Biscayne bay route... it's spactacular, specially in nice weather! When you get to the serpentine groves it's like being in a James Bond movie! (that is if no one else is around and you can go fast!) You'll like the trip -- no matter how much gas it takes!

(I can't advise either, Tight Squeeze has 2 Evenrude 225 eTeks, so I think we used twice as much fuel as we should!)

Hey CaptStabbin are you sure it's a good idea to use your daughter's photo like that??? (grin - LOL)
