Re: stolen boat

That sucks. I hate thiefs. Hope it was insured -- maybe your next will be better!

Re: stolen boat

I tried to upload a few photos but the size limit is very small.

Any update on your plans, more photos or new ideas from the police? I want to use my Sailfish bat on those punks.

Re: stolen boat

Hey Scarab,

I couldn't post photos of my Scarab Sport due to size. So here's a link to a new thread on OSO. If you are in Tampa/St. Pete, we'll go for long ride.

Since photos from a digital camera or a scanner are usually too large to be deployed to any online use, they should be reduced and optimized so they download quickly and can be viewed in a single screen.

Go to : www.photosize.com

and make your photos perfectly viewable and uploadable.

RE: BOAT THEFT

As seen in the recent news, crooks are looking for "easy" boats to steal to run drugs -- or HUMANS aliens from Cuba. The faster the boat, the more likely to be a target.

All marinas with gas and fuel should be alerted as soon as a boat is stolen. Sooner or later they might need fuel.

Re: stolen boat

Thanks for the photo sizing software Tight.

Scarab, Just give me some advanced notice. Plenty of room for you.

It'll pull low 70's with no fuel and me alone.

Re: stolen boat

I feel bad for you Scarab. Luckily no one was hurt.

That being said....Miami is a playground for boat thieves.. Believe me.. they had your boat "staked" out for a while and pounced on the opportunity when it presented itself.

Guys/Gals, please buy good insurance for your expensive toys. It does no good to pimp a vessel out if you're not going to own it for long. Also, I wouldn't trust NO underpaid storage jockey with my expensive boat. How much do you think he was paid to look the other way???

Also, does anybody have some statistics on the amount of boats stolen from this particular storage area??? Is anyone asking this question?

The only way to counter this is to have some good insurance (disclaimer: I don't sell boat insurance.)

Sorry about your loss.

Re: stolen boat

Scarab,

Is your boat still sitting or have you started any plans for reconstruction?
