| | | Re: stolen boat As you can all imagine this is a wake up call for me being that I have the same exact boat and engines.
Every time I see those pictures I get so pissed.....and my boat is fine. I have seen this happen so many times on the Florida Sportsman forum (almost one a week) but this is the first time it happened to someone I know very well. And the fact that its the same boat as mine.........well lets just say that looking at those pics send a chill up my spine.
Emanuel......don't worry bro, the money is the biggest loss here. My offer always stands, if you need a place to bring the boat to put it back together just let me know. My driveway is yours. I will help you too.
I want that boat docked next to mine in Bimini this year!!! |

Thanks god I have an amazing and very supportive partner in boating (the wife) we already agree to star over without looking back.
Money comes and goes, don't get me wrong, we work our arses off to earn our money. But it eventually will better and nicer...
Chris: I'm planing to use the same console you have and going with the arch instead of the T-top... so our boats will be even more similar!!! |

| | | Re: stolen boat Awsome, for the arch check out Will Garret Towers/Tip Top Canvas (same company) thats who did the work on my arch. Very nice people and they do nice work.
The arch will be cheaper and easier to install because its a simple matter of how wide is the boat and how tall does it need to be. With a t-top it has to be built around the console which takes a lot of time.
But before you pull the trigger for a new arch go up to Ft Pierce to that place to get the console. You might get luck and find a nice used arch. |

If anybody knows about a used good condition hydraulic steering like sea star, that can handle twin 250HP, please, let me know....
I'm also looking for a BRP control box and cables also in good condition.
I know that this box is a fairly new model, but I was able to find a used one before...I have hope to find another one. |

I just bought my 2000 30'Scarab Sport 1 month ago.I cannot convey what I feel for you and your wife/girlfriend. If you come to Tampa, you can use mine. I won't let anyone but my father drive mine. But with what you have gone through, come to tampa, you can use mine. It has twin Yamaha 300's and have at it.
I specifically signed up for this site to share with you my anger at what happened. Let me know if you want a weekend with your special someone, call me. Damn. I would go insane. Since you are not insured, you can use mine. Don't feel so bad, You can cruise on a Scarab Sport until yours is running again.
if the people are caught, I want to throw one stone at them. it hurts. But what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Just hang in there. make that Scarab better than it was and enjoy. You have mine until then.
2000 30' Scarab, twin 2005 Yamaha 300's and all the electronics. Tampa, FL.
Yours,
Jon and Brenda (and Nate and Audrey, our kids)

Yours,
Jon and Brenda (and Nate and Audrey, our kids) | Hey thanks a lot!!! I really appreciate your offer. I bought my boat and engines on Tampa the first time, and I'll probably buy another set of E-tecs from the same guy.
I'll definitely pay you a visit if I head up there with my boat to install the engines...
as you said before, is really hard to take this blow. I know that nobody died, but all the family worked on that boat and enjoyed beautifully times, thats why is so hard to get over it.
The good thing is that our priority now is to get the boat back in shape, so we do not spend too much time looking back.
Please do me a favor, put some gps tracking device and insurance with replacement value in your boat!!!
I would hate to see anybody else going thru this crap. |

| | | Re: stolen boat You are so right. No one died. But since we can look passed that, your heart died. And I want to help soften the blow. If you come to tampa, go play with my rig. It's insured and under warranty. You cannot hurt it. Just get your aggression out and then get on task. Glad to hear you respond. And you are welcome in our family. Keep your head up.
I will be down in Ft.Lauderdale for some business in April. If you want to pay some poker at Hard Rock on the 17th or 18th, we can hang. We'll get through this together. Be tough, my man. They will be found eventually. And we will beat the living mud out of them together.
I am afraid to send photos because you are still mourning. But understand, we Scarab Sport brothers stand together. no other fux with the brotherhood.
Jon

Jon | Hey don't worry about the mourning... Seeing other rigs like yours or ScarabChris helps me to keep going, and got me new ideas to improve my rig... | |
