Brunski is right on the money (so to speak) with his posts. For the cell phone I have AT&T (Cingular) and it works perfect over there. You just have to dial 1+ areacode+number and you're in. But it will cost you about 2 bucks a min. A small price to pay to be able to call home or work and check in. Though try to stay away from work over there, it kills the whole idea of being there.

I'll be heading over in July for the first time this year. And maybe again in August.

I wonder if my NextHell service will be any good over there. I was serious BTW about the making 2 trips statement, the second one being in July. Maybe if the planets align right we'll be traveling at the same time.

I'm almost done prepping the boat for the trip and to get it to the canvas guy who will be doing a new camper. Minor setback though today. I've had a problem with a leaking gasket on the cabin hatch since buying the boat last year. Apparently however the hatch frame itself was leaking and must have been for some time. When I removed the assembly I found an area of rot about a foot square by the time I got done scraping the wood. I have to come up with a quick fix asap. Don't think seacast will work, it's a horizontal area and I really don't want to cut out any fiberglass. Maybe I'll just cram the Hell out of it with construction cement for now and worry about a permanent fix in the fall, don't think it'll get any worse. The operative word being "think".

Boats really are a royal PITA sometimes....

I know it is far away Chris but I go to Bimini at least 4 times a year. Maybe we could coordinate a trip this time. I will be going over for sure the last of July and first of August. I am doing more islands this year. I have Nassau, Grand (twice), and Abacos on the schedule.
