whats best way to take there? ocean straight down?never went past key biscayne was thinking of heading down there to check it out . how many miles is it? just want to go down take family snorkeling hang out etc...anyplace to overnight there on the boat?thanks

It's a great run. The weather and size of your boat will dictate whether you run inside or outside. There are shallows either way, so you need to have strong knowledge of where you're going. Have the camera ready as you'll always see some pretty cool things on the ride down. Buy a good chartbook to familiarize yourself with the run prior to going, and you should do fine.

Coconuts or Marina del mar used to be a great marina for weekend excursions..

It may be better in the bahamas, but the keys are pretty darn good
