This is gonna be a great event. Some friends started an Evite about a weekend at Peanut Island, and the feedback so far has been great! I'm definitely getting in on this one. Weather should be cool which means no bugs and hopefully no rain.

Campsites are under $20 and include dockage if you need it. There are restrooms, showers, etc. What else could you ask for? Cancellation only requires 24 hours notice. Call today to book 561-845-4445.

If you are planning to go by boat, you would launch at Blue Heron (Frank can give you additional details).

If you are not coming by boat, Tiki Bar at Riviera Marina runs shuttles to Peanut Island (Frank will do a bit of this as well). They are located on the West side of the ICW directly west of Peanut Island. Their address is 200 East 13th St. Riviera Beach and thier phone number is 561-842-7806 www.rivierabch.com .

We will communicate closer to the date to plan for food, charcoal, etc. once we know who is planning to camp.

Hello to all of my new friends!!! I have planned a large party weekend Jan 11th - 13th and want to invite ya!

My friends and I have already reserved 10 camp sites at peanut Island and I think there are only 8 left!

I have never camped over night there but I heard it was fun and that you can get dock space over night if you reserve a camp site... Only 1 tent per site, 2 sites per household.

If you want to camp by us, tell them you are part of the Frank Zimmermann group, you can reserve and then if anything changes cancel that am.

Only a few of us have boats, so we are launching Fri afternoon @ Heron to get situated, most don't have boats though and are coming Sat am.

Hmm, I can definitely make it for Saturday night, but Friday night might not happen, I think I have to work on Saturday morning, but I could probably get the boat in the water by 3PM and be up at Peanut by 4PM... If there's still any fun going on that late

I'll find out for sure tomorrow if I can swap saturday duty to be off that weekend.

Edit: I just reserved 2 camp sites, since I may have other friends joining along with their boat... if they wind up not going, I'll post back on here with the available site. I think there's now 4 or 6 sites left available, up to 6 people per site, one tent per site.

Edit #2: Looks like Friday night is a no-go for me, gotta work on Saturday the 12th, hopefully I can get there by 3PM on Saturday.

buddy of mine has a time share for jan 10-12 down in Key West; couldn't pass up the opportunity to drink rum runners and dive the frigid waters in the hope of catching some last bugs. Wonder if I can get back early enough on Saturday to grab my boat and head up? How far is it anyway from Hollywood to Peanut? I know I asked before, but rum has killed a few brain cells.....
