Sebastian Inlet

I always see a ton of people partying on the Sand bar at the mouth of the inlet as well as Captain Hirams. I'm looking to locate those people! Lets raft up! I've been at the first Island two weekends in a row with the 18" white Regal bowrider and friends.

LETS PARTY!

Re: Sebastian Inlet

When we go there, we boat-camp on the island right opposite the inlet, near mkr 63.
The island gives a lee shore from wind and boat wakes, and is more comfortable as we stay aboard out cruiser.

Re: Sebastian Inlet

Are their still clams in the sandbeds up there? It's been quite a number of years since I was up there and I heard the population has diminished.

Thanks.

Re: Sebastian Inlet

I am not into clamming. Have an alergy to them.
Cant say as if I ever saw someone harvesting them.

Re: Sebastian Inlet

Yea there's still clams in the river. This weekend starts the season for spiny lobster. Head out the inlet, go 1-2 miles south into Wabasso over the reef and do some snorkling I'll be there !

Thanks guys for the responses. I'll have to get some folks together and plan a Sebastian Inlet/River weekend sometime soon!

I dove Port Fierce last year and the lobster are MONSTER HUGE!

Re: Sebastian Inlet

OH yeah. Head out toward the inlet and to your left is a nice island with several boats and to your right before the state park there's a large sand bar anywhere from knee to waist deep where everyone will hang out and party. See ya out there!
