anyone hangout on the water next to the Vinoy and ribfest this past weekend? I didn't take my boat out but I did see a bunch of boats all tied up together partying just off the seewall. Looked like good times!:)

In the Burg!! We (wife & I) were anchored up Sat night at Rib Fest! Good night on the water! We end up at the Weedon island sandbar alot.

Directions
Take Gandy Road (US Rt 92 orCounty 600) to San Martin Blvd. If you are going East on Gandy, San Martin is about 1/2 mile past the dog track. If you are going West, San Martin is about 2.5 miles after you get off the Gandy Bridge. San Martin turns into Weedon Dr. Follow Weedon Dr until it dead ends at a small traffic circle. Launch your boat to the left of the concrete walkway.
Sights to See
The Weedon Island nature trail is the sight to see. It takes you through a mangrove swamp, offering you a picnic spot about 1/2 way through. There are usually a significant number of birds to see. Cautions: Watch the tide charts to make sure that you do not go at low tide. On weekends, the trail can get busy.
Suggested Trips
The four mile Weedon Island Nature Trail is a highlight of kayaking in Pinellas County. There is a sandbar there that alot of boaters go. It is a nice place. Raft-up!!!
