| Re: Stolen Trailer "$1000 Reward" 32' Quicload Thanks for your concern.. I posted a picture on the lost and found section of raft-up. I don't know how to post one here. I will try to describe. It had rusty springs with new U-bolts. The VIN number was stamped in large letters on top of the I-beam, just port side of the winch post support. The winch cable was rusty and needed replaced. The aluminum I-Beams were in great shape. It was a tri-axle with brakes. The hitch coupler latch was broken so I custom made a bolt that stuck up through top of the ball seat, with a large wing nut that released the hitch when tightened. The diamond plate fenders were dull, But otherwise in good shape. I just had the whole trailer rewired and new lights installed. I just happened to be at the cop shop today and asked who the detective was, assigned to the investigation. I was informed that the report wouldn't even be viewed for about 30 days. I swear, TPD is worthless. I had a truck stolen, last year and I still haven't heard from any investigator. So, If anyone wants to steal anything, Tampa is the place to do it. The cops are to busy ticketing commercial fisherman's trailers for improper tail lighting and just don't have time to protect tax payers and their property. I was treated like I was the theif, when I reported it stolen. |
