Memorial Day Weekend at Ski Island

We have been out to Ski island 3 of the last 4 weeks and have had the time of our lives. It seems to just keep getting better as the temp rises. We are planning to be out there throughout Memorial Day Weekend. If you're in Central Florida and not going to The Glenn I would have to recommend Ski Island. If you get there very early you can bring a tent and camp out (If you're too late, there are a couple other islands close by to tent up for over night), There is also a pontoon boat/diner that is normally there and certain to be for that weekend. I expect 100-200 boats a day there so grab a spot early and plan to be entertained. Let us know if you're going would love to Raft-up with ya.

If you click on the link in my post you will see a map, but it is in Port Canaveral just north of 528 on the Bananna River. If you get off at Bananna River rd just as your getting on the last bridge before the cruise ships in the port you can let in at Kelly park. Click on the link you can see it from there.

We won't be there memorial weekend as we will be at the glen. we plan on comming down for the shuttle launch on the 31st. we are planning on comming down on friday and fishing until shuttle launch saturday and comming home on sunday Is ski island a better place to watch the shuttle? We were planning on going to a island just north of Hallover canal. Any info would be very helpful, as we have never been in that area.

I've never gone out for a lunch but from watching the launch onshore in the past it seems like right off of titusville is the closest, but I'm not certain. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Although, going out for the launch is a great idea. I just might have to follow your lead.

We may be altering our Memorial Day Weekend plans after having been fairly close to deciding on the glenn instead, thanks entirely to The Badonkadonk doing a good job at convincing Danielle that it might be worth the drive. Not set in stone yet but she is leaning that way, so far we are going to do ski island sat and then the glenn sun but like I said we may decide on the glenn all weekend. So if you were thinking about ski island let us know so we can tell you if we decided to make it to the glenn all weekend instead.

My crew and I will be at ski island and the surrounding areas all weekend. Plan to be there around noon on sat. Looking forward to meeting you but if you decide on the glen I'm sure you'll have a great time there too.

We decided to split it up, we will definitely be at ski island on Sat then head out to the glenn sun so We will have to meet up. I got my Burgee yesterday so just keep an eye out for it cuz I'll be flyin it high on the back of the boat. Lookin forward to meetin you.
