Re: WELCOME New Northeast Florida Members

Glad to see you post.

Yes, we are having an outing...it's NOT for couples only. It IS Kid Friendly.

If you have your own boat...we may have riders for you. If you would like to ride with...we may have room.

Once everything is confirmed...no doubt...one way or another you will be on the water and enjoying the company of other boaters.

Re: WELCOME New Northeast Florida Members

Hello Tammy - I received a e-mail message to introduce myself. My name is captain Mark, I live in the St. Johns part of town and I have an 18 foot runabout.

I found this website a few months ago but I have not really done much with it. I really need to take a few pictures of my boat and get them up on the site.

I usually put in at the new Mandarin Park boat ramp and run over to Doctors Lake or Black Creek but I'm very interested in finding more places to raft up and meet people.

I am married with two kids age 12 and 8 so I'm into kid friendly while still enjoying a few cold adult beverages :-)

I look forward to spending more time on the site and the treehouse thing looks awesome but I wont be able to make it due to a previous engagement.

Feel free to drop me a line directly. Have a great day - Mark

Re: WELCOME New Northeast Florida Members

Hi Tammy, my name is Jim and I have a 29' Formula high profile Cruiser. Currently there is no I, but I have many friends who are usually out on the boating weekends. I won't be able to make the tree house thing but will stay tuned for another outing that I can come meet and greet. Thanks for the e-mail, Jim.

Re: WELCOME New Northeast Florida Members

Tammy, Thanks for the heads up on this site. Don't have a boat yet that I can get in on some of these raft ups but I've got a place on the water that can be a good pit stop. It's on a canal that goes to the St. Johns River. North of Palatka and south of Green Cove Springs. If you go to vrbo.com and put in #2725 you'll see my digs.

Hey Bubba, do you live down there in Bostwick? There was a girl selling a double-wide down there off Tarpon Blvd that was right on the canal that I considered buying as an investment property. Looks like a pretty nice place ya got there.

Thanks Jim. Right on both. Bostwick and Tarpon blvd. I think its the old Palm Valley of the intercostal. If you got a boat and want to spend some time down there let me know. Are you still considering the area for investment?

Re: WELCOME New Northeast Florida Members

No...the wife nixed the idea. We live in Jax and she's gotten very comfortable with living in the "big city" where anything you would ever want is within about a 10 minute drive.

That is a neat setup y'all have down there with the canals off the St. Johns. How deep are they? I took a close up look on Google Earth and really didn't see a lot of private docks by the properties.

Its tidal. I'm at the front of the canal. at low tide its 2-3'. They are private canals. Its not navigable water on the way back lots that are on the canal.
