Mardi Gras on the Tickfaw!

The CREW OF WRECKS will have it's annual boat parade on February 2nd 2008 along the Tickfaw River. The parade starts @1:00 p.m. You can enter your boat and crew in the parade and best of all, it's free, but you have to register your boat before hand at the River Stop Chevron Station right there in Springfield on your way to the launch. There will be an after party at Crazy Charlie's with Gary Brown kicking things off @ 4:00 p.m. followed by Wayne Toups who will close out the evening. If you register in the parade, the party is free!!! This is always a pretty big event and usually draws a pretty good crowd so get those batteries charged and join in.

Last time I tried to haul my boat to La my wagon broke down . my donkey lost its shoe and we got mugged in mississippi. I think we will just stick to Florida, where the beer is always colder and the women are always hot!!!

So you ARE skeered!! Don't think for a minute that we're skeered to come over that way this summer to sample some of that cold beer and hot...uh, well.... I better leave that one alone for now.

Hey, do you know how far down the river the parade actually goes? Does it go as far as the Prop Stop or not?

"Okay, I got a correction on the location and the time. It starts at 12:00 noon Saturday. You can put in the water at the HWY 22 Bridge at the public landing, or maybe put in at Tin Lizzy’s on the other side (not sure will check). If you put in at the public ramp, the fork in the rivers will be to your right standing on the ramp.. or under the bridge…

The Crew of Wrecks Parade starts on the upper Tickfaw River, then turns at the fork just above the HWY 22 bridge, where Blood River meets the Tickfaw, and then goes up the Blood River… So your choice on where to be, is your own. A lot of rivers to cover… I hear the titties will be flying on the upper Tickfaw… so………"
