I saw a ford pickup that was launching a boat in Green Cove Springs (Governor's Creek Public Ramp) do the same thing. Boat tried to hold the rear of the truck up until the weight got too much between the trailer and the truck and swamped the boat. It went to the bottom as did the truck.

Only thing sticking out of the water was about 6" of the truck's roof.
NEVER rely on the PARK position of an automatic transmission or the compression of an engine by putting a manual transmission in low gear to hold a tow rig on a ramp! SET THE PARKING BRAKE! I'm sure that people probably have been run over by their rigs when this happened and they were back by the winch undoing the bow hook.
