No, you are not the only one. I am recovering from a raft-up of epic proportions in Cincinnati. Jimmy Buffet was at River Bend last night and the raft-up consisted of about 500 boats and yachts and needless to say lots of beeds and, well you know what comes next. It was incredible!! Once I get a chance to upload the photos (and censor some) I will post them.

On another note, one of my friends just completed a palace (house) in Louisville and a group of my friends are planning a trip by water down there to, well PARTY!! Where do you put in? It would be cool if you joined...

I know what ya mean about that Buffet concert! A big group of us went up to one 2 or 3 years ago on my uncle's Carver. It was out of control! Took me days to get over it.

I put in at Westport in Oldham Co.--you may not be able to find it on a map. A chick that's a friend of my girlfriend runs around with some boaters from Cincy. They usually make a trip down to the 'ville once a season and stay overnight, go to 4th St. Live and so on.

Where's your buddy's house/palatial estate located?

It usually take about 2 cases of beer Nah, it's really not that bad a trip time-wise. Sometimes they get held up at the lock waiting on barge traffic. Depending on speed, it usually takes them about 6 hours cruising at around 25-30mph and stopping and goofing off here and there.

It is heart warming to see that I am not the only one that judges time in beer.
I am heading down to Dale Hollow Wed. after that I will schedule a trip to ville and have a beer with ya..

Sounds good. We're having some monumental raft-ups in an old quarry down here right now on the weekends. I guess all of the locals that used to go to Cumberland every weekend are starting to hang out on the river a little more this year. The guy that owns "O'Malley's Corner" downtown was out there this weekend and had a bunch of the beer tub girls wearing little pink "Coyote's" bikinis. I gotta say that the local plastic surgeons are doing a fine job!

I don't normally gripe about the heat because, as you say, it is better than the snow, but it is friggin' hot! How was your trip to Dale?
