Any Hartwell boaters here. They are having fireworks this Saturday night down at the dam. If anyone is in the area lets raft-up.

I sometimes boat on Lake Hartwell but usually on Lake Keowee. Party at the waterfalls every weekend.

Never been on Keowee. I here it is an awesome lake. A couple of us are going to check out Jocasee sept 14-16. Staying at Devils fork state park in there villas. Going to spend the weekend partying and exploring. A couple of villas left if you are interested.

Apprieciate the invite. Lake Jocassee is one of the prettiest lakes around. Very deep water. Just be in a cove if a storm comes up. The main water gets rough. If you get a chance, Lake Keowee is right below Jocassee. Look us up. Good party lake. The waterfalls is the major hangout area. The Tiki Hut is on the lower end with live music and food. Its a very busy lake. Not much to do on Jocassee but well worth a visit.

The same group of 4-5 boats is also wanting to do a dead leaf cruise on Keowee this Oct. Not sure yet of a date. But most likely a Sunday. Is the tiki hut still open then ? And do you have to be a member to eat ? Any route suggestions would be great.

You do not have to be a member to go to the Tiki Hut. There is a $5 cover charge at night when a band is playing. Give me a shout when you come up. October is when the crowd starts dying out but there is always a few die hards that still party at the falls in late October. I usually wait till the first of November to winterize the boat.
