| Re: Whiskey Creek- Hollywood, FL I go there almost every weekend, and it's a great place especially if you have children. My son loves it. He always finds other kids to play with, right there by the boat. The water is not always that dirty and there is always an option to walk to the beach.
The only problem is the shallow waters. Beware if you get there on low tide. I have bent a few props on the sand backing up during low tide. If you draft more than 3 feet, this is not your place at low tide.
It's good to have a restaurant next to your boat if you don't want to cook on the boat. It's no 5-star restaurant, but they have a few good things on the menu at reasonable price.
Yes, have your beer on the boat or on your raft tied up to your boat. That's what I do. They sell beer at the restaurant but you cannot take them to the beach.
Open from sunrise to sunset. I really hope I could spend the night there, but state parks will not allow that.
It would make a great place for a raft-up of raft-up.com.:)
