Boat Show savings?

I've waited weeks for the show thinking I could save some good money and get the "Show discount". I've got news for you- the show discount is equal to full retail. I priced out a Magma II BBQ grill and some Costa Del Mar sunglasses I've been wanting- they could both be found for the exact same price at West Marine, and there was no budging from the price. Why would I buy a BBQ grill at full pop from the show only to lug it around? I ended up buying a nice $200 pair of Nikon binoculars from a vendor, but am unsure if I got a good deal or not. Anyhow, long story short- if you want a good deal, EBay or a trustworthy local retailer are your best bets. I have had great service and pricing from Boat Owner's Warehouse. Anyone else have a location they recommend?

Boat Owners Warehouse (BOW) is good.

I have also been treated pretty fairly at Boat World.

show discounts

having worked several boat shows I can tell you there are no "Boat Show Specials" espically on boats Some vendors with merchandise to sell at the show will give good discounts at the last hours on the last day rather than pack it up

Re: Boat Show savings?

Go the week before the boat show; that way they don't have to take it. Or if they do take it; they will reduce the price to you to take it and be able to mark it SOLD
