I finally broke down and ordered a windlass for the Tiara yesterday. Got a Lewmar V700 from defender.com - they matched WestMarine's sale price and dont charge tax, just shipping. I should have it just in time for some weekend installation if all goes well...

Ha! I got tired of running from helm to bow and back, especially in high wind, current and traffic.

The winch (motor, not the girlfriend for you smart*sses) was working well, just not very easy unless perfect, wide open conditions.

Got all the wiring finished today, and hope to get the windlass dropped in tomorrow. Only problem right now is that the winch doesnt seem to want to come out
