I know that you can get a wake tower for your boat. I don't know if it will be universal or not but I also have been thinking of getting one. There are several brands as you know and I think it is like anything else you will get what you pay for. As for as reinforced material on the boat I believe the way they are designed you don't have to do anything other than getting a good mount, they distribute the "stress" pretty even.
