Well we took a drive Sunday. We took RT 52, from Higginsport (White Oak Marina) all the way to downtown cinci. By far the NICEST campground on the river would be Steamboat campgrounds, they have a boat ramp and everything. BUT they only rent by the week and month... If someone was looking to take a week camping vacation that would be a great place to go..
White Oak also looked very nice, alot going on there is lookes like, very large marina and camping area... BUT it is way too far to boat back there from Riverbend.
The only other one we found that looked remotelly nice was Ryan's Run. They were not open, so we are going to call them and get more info on that place. It looks as though most of teh spots there are permant spots with a few rental spots out in the grass area, but it looks to have water and electric hook up's out there so would work fine for weekend stays.
There are several other camping areas along RT 52, bust most look like it would be pretty scary to stay at them...lol
